The USPS has filed their rate case to the Postal Regulatory Commission, requesting a Postage increase starting July 10, 2022. This announcement came with a 6.5% increase expectation – but is that the increase you will see come July? As with all postal increases, the devil is in the details. Here are the increases by class/mail type to help narrow it down.

First Class Mail:                6.506%

Letters / Postcards         6.863%

Flats                               9.204%

USPS Marketing Mail:     6.5%

Letters                           6.151%

Flats                               8.543%

The USPS will be holding a webinar on all the details on April 15th, at 2 PM ET.

Ultimately, the only way to determine your actual increase is to run an analysis on your current postage. Our own Tom Carroll will be co-presenting at the June 8th Buffalo/Niagara Postal Customer Council meeting at 11 am in a session highlighting the rates and some tools you can use to analyze the impact of rates on your business.
