If any of your mailings touch international or military addresses, we want to make sure you’re up to speed on recent USPS service suspensions and what we’re doing about them.
Here’s the situation. Due to logistics disruptions tied to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the USPS has suspended acceptance of mail to more than 20 countries and a block of military zip codes. These suspensions are in effect now and remain active until further notice.
Affected countries include: Algeria, Armenia, Bahrain, Djibouti, Eritrea, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Kuwait, Libya, Madagascar, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
Affected military zip codes: The following zip codes within state code “AE” (Armed Forces Europe/Middle East) are suspended. These are a subset of AE zip codes only. The full AE designation is not suspended: 09303, 09307, 09309, 09315, 09321, 09343, 09365, 09801, 09803, 09807, 09811, 09815, 09819, 09829, 09832, 09853, 09858, 09877, 09898, 09903, 09904
Your next steps:
- Review your upcoming mail files for any addresses in the affected countries or military zip codes.
- Contact your Matrix account manager if you have any questions.
- No action needed if your mailings are domestic-only. We wanted you to have the full picture regardless.
We’re monitoring USPS updates daily and will keep you informed as the situation develops. For the full list of current suspensions, visit about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/international.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
