On September 24th, the USPS announced that they are forgoing the January 2026 price increase (expected to be only ~1.2%) for their Market Dominant products: First Class and Marketing Mail. The CPI rate authority will be “banked” for the July 2026 rate increase.
As a reminder, Package Pricing is scheduled to increase on Oct. 27, 2025 and then return to July 2025 rates on January 18, 2026. However, we will know in December if there will be an increase in this product line (Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, Ground Advantage) come January, or if the USPS will delay the increase for these products until July as well.
